The Cabane des Violettes Hike is an incredible journey in Crans Montana that will take you up into the mountains for breathtaking views of the alpine landscape. This is a long hike that can be broken up into a multi-day adventure by staying overnight in the Cabane des Violettes. This is a steep route that can be vertiginous,at times, making it suitable only for fit hikers.

Route Description for Cabane des Violettes Hike
Setting out from Crans, the Cabane des Violettes Hike follows a path that leads up to the Violettes Cabin, where you can stay for a well deserved night's rest. The next day, you will set off towards the Plaine-Morte and cross the Col du Pochet pass before heading down to the Er de Chermignon. From here, walkers follow the stunning Bisse du Ro, which passes close to the Tseuzier Lake (Rawyl Dam).
Getting to the Cabane des Violettes Hike Trailhead
To reach Crans-Montana by car, take the exit of the A9 motorway (Rhône motorway) called "Sierre ouest". At the motorway exit, turn left and follow the signs for "Sierre". At the roundabout, turn right. Continue for 500 m, then at the entrance to Sierre, turn left following the signs for "Crans-Montana". The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Crans-Montana, follow the signs for the centre of Crans and then the Crans-Cry d'Er car park.
