Route Description for Clear Creek and Prospect Lake Loop
The Clear Creek and Prospect Lake Loop Trail is an epic nature walk through the city. Well-maintained, scenic, and family-friendly, this is an ideal spontaneous trek. Enjoy sights of the shimmering lakes, the babbling creek, and views of the cityscape and foothills. Get your daily dose of fresh air as you trek along the nature lined route. On warm summer days be sure to wear sunscreen as the path weaves between tree shade and exposed terrain.
Departing from the trailhead, track west along the Clear Creek Trail. Trek beneath the sparse coverage of the tree shade and you will soon confront an intersection. Here, keep left and track the unnamed route that runs parallel to the Moore Street to Prospect Lake Bridge Loop. As you hike along this path, enjoy the vistas of the cityscape lines by the Front Range peaks. Reconnect with Clear Creek Trail and travel past Prospect Lake, Tabour Lake and West Lake before intersecting with the interstate. Follow this route all the way to McIntyre Street, which is your turnaround point.
From here, follow the Clear Creek Trail east, all the way back to the trailhead, marking the end of your adventure.
