Route Description for Clear Creek Trail

In close proximity to Golden, the Clear Creek Hike is an epic nature walk. We love a good escape from the hustle and bustle of real life, and the Clear Creek Trail checks that box. This stimulating hike presents sights of nearby buildings, athletic stadiums, baseball fields, and running tracks! Get in your daily movement and get out into the fresh air as you walk the Clear Creek Trail.

Begin your adventure along Clear Creek from the trailhead and parking lot. From here, track the Magpie Gulch Trail southwest. Hike this path around shimmering ponds, and at the first intersection, turn left onto the Clear Creek Trail. Hike the path that follows the curves of the running creek. Soon you will meet an intersection, turn right here. Hike over the bridge, keeping right onto US 6 Trail. Trek through the sparse tree coverage and past the sports stadiums and fields.

Eventually, you will encounter another junction, keep right here and cross over Clear Creek again. At this point, you will reconnect with the Magpie Gulch Trail, which will guide you back to the trailhead, marking the end of your adventure.
