The Evergreen Mountain Summit Hike might just be one of our favorite adventures in the foothills. Reconnect with nature and revel in the diversity of the Colorado wilderness along this trek. Get your daily dose of fresh air and get your heart rate up as you ascend the forested terrain. If you are hoping to hike in solitude, make sure you head out in the early morning when crowds are thinner.

Embark on your adventure along the Evergreen Mountain Summit Hike from the trailhead. From here, you will have to cross over the Buffalo Park Road before tracking southwest along the Evergreen Mountain East Trail. Shortly after your departure from the trailhead you will encounter an intersection. Here, keep left along the Evergreen Mountain East Trail. Hike this path through the lush evergreens up to the next intersection. Here, keep left and you will be diverted onto the Summit Trail.

Ascend the terrain up to the summit where you will be rewarded with epic views of the encompassing rolling hills and distant views of Evergreen Lake. Revel in the sights and when you are ready, retrace your footing down the Summit Trail. At the next intersection, turn left onto the Evergreen Mountain Trail West. Descend the enchanted woodland trail before merging onto the rightmost Wild Iris Trail. Hike along this path before tracking the Ranch View Trail. Hike along this path until you reconnect with the Evergreen Mountain East Trail, which will deliver you back to the trailhead.
