Route Description for O’Fallon Park Loop Trail
The O’Fallon Park Loop Trail is a stunning adventure. Let the sounds of the gurgling creek and the wind whistling through the trees lull you into a state of relaxation. The wonderful forestland path reveals distant sight of the Front Range snow-capped peaks that flank the verdant woodlands below. Ideal for family adventures, the easy terrain is manageable for kids and novice hikers alike. On your next trip to the Denver area, make sure to add this hike to your itinerary.
Embark on your adventure from the trailhead off Bear Creek Road. From here, trek the Picnic Loop Trail south. Travel through the woodlands and eventually, you will encounter an intersection. At the junction, keep right and you will be diverted onto the West Ridge Loop Trail. Soon the path will merge onto the Bear Creek Trail, which will guide you through the meadowlands. Enjoy sights of the Front Range peaks that line the horizon as you walk.
Keep trekking along the Bear Creek Trail until you merge onto the Meadow View Trail. Hike along the meadow cloaked trail until the path’s end. Here, walk along the road which follows the curves of Bear Creek, back to the trailhead.
