    Route Description for Autumn Creek Trail

    Autumn Creek Trail is known for its beauty in the summer and winter months. You can hike this beautiful trail in the summer and enjoy views of Three Bears Lake and Elk Mountain surrounded by fields of wildflowers. This trail is also popular in the winter when these stunning views are blanketed with snow.

    Wandering through the trees, you will come across Three Bears Lake surrounded by mountains. As you continue, the trees will taper off, and views of fields surrounding the base of Elk Mountain will come into focus. After taking in the scenery, you can head back the way you came as this is an out-and-back trail.

    Getting to the Autumn Creek Trail Trailhead

    To get to Autumn Creek Trail from Marias Pass Obelisk, head northeast on US-2 East toward Summit Campground North Loop and turn right. After 0.3 km, take a right and then turn left at the first cross street onto US-2 West. Continue on this road for 6.0 km, and you will arrive at your destination.
