Cunningham Cabin Trail
Table of contents
The Cunningham Cabin Trail is less of a hike and more of a skip and jump from the parking lot. Nevertheless, this quick stroll to the double-pen log cabin that sits in the foreground of the Teton Mountain Range can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Route Description for Cunningham Cabin Trail
Located on the eastern boundary of the Grand Teton Mountain Range in the Jackson Hole, the Cunningham Cabin Trail sees little traffic relative to other overlooks of the Tetons. History buffs and outdoor enthusiasts alike will enjoy this adventure—just don’t forget your camera; on a clear day, the scene of the mountains framing the cabin is postcard perfect! Note the Grand Teton National Park charges an entrance fee; refer to the NPS website for additional information. Setting out from the parking lot, take the rightmost footpath heading north. As you wander through the lush meadow, be sure to keep an eye out for elk, moose, deer, and more grazing in the plains. After a short walk, you will confront a junction, keep right here, and you will be directed to the Cunningham Cabin. Explore the grounds of this rustic homestead and revel in the expansive views of the snow-dusted Tetons commanding the skyline. After meandering around the cabin you can head back to the parking lot or explore the few other routes that adorn the meadow.Getting to the Cunningham Cabin Trail Trailhead
