If you want to get the full tourist experience while visiting L.A. you will need to take in the views looking out onto the world famous Hollywood Sign perched high in the hills that flank the city. While it will likely be a bit on the busy side, the Hollyridge Trail to Hollywood Sign Viewpoint is a great route to reach the viewpoint and take in the scenery. Those who want to hike a very similar route that ends at the actual Hollywood Sign rather than the viewpoint can do so by hiking to the Hollywood Sign via Canyon Drive.

Setting out from the trailhead, you will head to the northeast along the Brush Canyon Trail as it climbs uphill into the mountains. Eventually, you will keep left onto the Mulholland Trail, following it west to reach the viewpoint looking onto the sign and the surrounding landscape. After taking in the scenery, simply backtrack along the trail to return to your starting point.
