North Fork Nooksack Trail

The North Fork Nooksack Trail is a 3.7 km hike that takes you along its namesake river along an easy, flat pathway. This is a nice way to explore the area if you’re using the nearby Shuksan Picnic Area. This hike is great for all ages and skill levels and can also be used for snowshoeing in the wintertime.

The North Fork Nooksack Trail is a fun hike for the whole family, taking you alongside the river with mountain views to enjoy as you go. It’s a good way to explore a bit after picnicking at Shuksan or if you’re camping at Silver Fir
This is a great summer stroll, but it can also be used for snowshoeing in the wintertime, which offers an enjoyable change of scenery.
From the trailhead, head down to the riverside and hike along the water. The path is quite straightforward; you’ll be following the water the entire way. The route eventually joins back up with the forest road. While the road continues for quite a while, you can turn back whenever you’ve had your fill.
