Route Description for Pass Creek Trail
The Pass Creek Trail is a lovely adventure that we cannot recommend enough! This woodland adventure will surely impress its hikers with gurgling streams, towering pines, alpine lakes, and mountain views that are tough to top. A great option for those conditioning for higher altitude summit hikes, this trek will get your heart rate up without over-exhausting you. Note: this trail is more primitive than most, so don’t be surprised if you must navigate tree falls and overgrowth – that’s all part of the fun anyway, right?!
Begin your adventure along the Pass Creek Hike from the trailhead at the end of Pass Creek Road. Departing from here, the path will guide hikers northwest beneath the shade of towering evergreens. The initial segment of the hike proves to be the most challenging, but don’t let that discourage you, as the views from the lake are well worth the sweat! Following the curves of Pass Creek, the sounds of the running waters will surely relax you as you hike past a few small pools before climbing to the lake.
From the shores of Pass Creek Lake, you will be rewarded with epic alpine views. Encircled by towering pines and hemmed by looming peaks, this sight will have you mesmerized. After you are done reveling in the sights, retrace your footing along the path all the way back to the trailhead.
