Directions to Trailhead

The Yakso Falls Hike is a fun excursion in Umpqua National Forest that will take you to a scenic 21 m waterfall. While out hiking the trail, you will make your way along a short path through the forest, enjoying views of the woodland scenery before arriving at the falls themselves. This is a fantastic adventure that the whole family will be sure to love.

Route Description for Yakso Falls Hike

Taking you to a stunning waterfall that is situated along the Little River, the Yakso Falls Hike is the perfect way to get the family outdoors for a quick excursion in nature.

Setting out from the trailhead at the Lake in the Woods Campground, you will head to the northeast across FS-27. Once you are on the opposite side, you will gradually climb uphill through the forest, before making a slight descent to Yakso Falls.

Take some time to appreciate the natural beauty of this plunging 21 m waterfall and the surrounding landscape, before heading back along the same trail to return to your vehicle. If you are after another hike in the area, then be sure to check out our guide for the Hemlock Falls Trail.
