The hike from Biscuit Basin to the Morning Glory Pool is a lovely hike in Yellowstone National Park. This trial is family-friendly and a great route for kids of all ages. Morning Glory Pool itself is a gorgeous yellow and blue-colored natural hot spring that resembles the flower of the morning glory vine.
Route Description for Biscuit Basin to Morning Glory Pool
The hike from Biscuit Basin to the Morning Glory Pool is a short and sweet trail that is fun for the whole family. This trail is well maintained but does have a couple of steep sections that are not stroller or wheelchair-friendly. The Morning Glory Pool, named for the vibrant blue and yellow hues reminiscent of the flower, is a sight to behold. This small natural hot spring is so gorgeous that it’s hard to believe that it's even real. Be sure to bring the camera along on this trail to capture some shots of this incredible formation. Beginning at the Biscuit Basin Trailhead, follow the path east along the Firehole River to the Morning Glory Pool. Take a rest at the pool and admire the beauty of this natural feature. When you are ready to head back, simply retrace your steps to the Biscuit Basin Trailhead, where you began. From the Old Faithful Visitor Center, follow Grand Loop Road north for 2.0mi to the Biscuit Basin Trailhead on the left side of the road. The Biscuit Basin to Morning Glory Pool Trail begins here.Route Information
