Happiness Promise
There are hundreds of thousands of guides and tour operators around the world. Figuring out who to trust is stressful and hard.
That’s why we started 10Adventures Tours, we’re here to make it easy to find a great guide or tour operator. We handpick the best local guides and tour operators for 10Adventures, working to ensure you have great guides and a great trip.
We know it sucks to show up in a different country and find out the tents are junk, the guide incompetent or the route different from what we thought we were getting.
We want to give our users peace of mind that you’ll have a great trip and offer a guarantee that we will work with you to make it right.
How does this work?
Well, if you feel that something about your trip didn’t’ meet your expectations, let us know. We will then work to gather the details and figure out where things went wrong. If something indeed wasn’t as described, or went wrong with your trip, and the problem was within the control of either oursleves, the guide or the tour company, we will then work out a refund with you that’s proportional to the scale of the problem.
Obviously the best way to make a great trip is to tell your local guide or tour operator and give them the chance to fix the solution while you are on your trip. Most things can be solved by telling your guide when the issue develops. If that doesn’t solve it, then email us right away. Please don’t wait to voice your concerns until the trip is over, as it’s much harder to solve issues after the fact.
We work hard to make sure you have a great trip. If something isn’t right, please email hello@10adventures.co and we will get to work right away.

About this tour:
Who doesn’t want to spend time in Greece at some point in their life? This 8-day self-guided tour includes a day in the famous Athens before setting off to two phenomenal islands in the Saronic Gulf: Poros and Aegina. This tour is self-guided, but you will have support along the way with some transfers, a detailed itinerary, and high-end accommodation booked for you. Go at your own pace and explore this area by bike—on island time!
Throughout this journey, you’ll ride through sensational landscapes filled with rocky coasts dotted with Mediterranean brush, all the while enjoying sweeping views of the bright blue Aegean Sea. There’s no better reward after a long day of riding than a dip in the ocean! Or maybe you’d rather treat yourself to a big meal? Well, you can do that too with delicious Greek cuisine at your beck and call. This 8-day bike exploration allows you to follow your gut, get lost if you want, and use the maps provided to find your way back to lovely hotels each night to recuperate. The Athens and the Saronic Gulf by Bike Tour perfectly blends adventure and relaxation.
You’re ready to start an amazing tour of Athens and the Saronic Gulf for the next 8 days! Check into your hotel and spend the remainder of the day exploring this famous Greek city. You’ll have the option to take a short guided cycling tour in the evening (must be booked beforehand).
Enjoy your first night of this self-guided tour in a lovely hotel.
Rise and shine for breakfast, then prepare for your first full day. If you arrived late yesterday, you could choose to do the Athens tour this morning. Otherwise, you’ll be driven to the port at Piraeus to catch a ferry. Hop on the 2.5-hour boat ride across the sparkling sea to land at Poros.
Once you land in Poros, cycle off for a few hours to explore sites like the monastery and some incredible beach loops. Settle into your hotel for a good night’s rest.
After breakfast, you’ll set out for an exploratory day, reaching the western part of this stunning island. Pedal through a former Russian Navy base, then continue into a wooded area, then to an interesting site known as the Temple of Poseidon. You’ll have the option to get off the bike and walk for a couple of hours to a restored lighthouse.
After visiting these sites, descend to Poros town, find some yummy Greek dinner, and get some sleep.
Fuel up on breakfast for a big day ahead. In the morning, you’ll take a small ferry to Galatas on the Saronic Peninsula. Spend the day exploring this cool agricultural area, visiting a local village, and ride down to the coast.
The wetlands of Psifta, a nature reserve, will be your last stop before turning back and riding the way you came from Galatas. In the late afternoon, return to Poros.
Bid farewell to Poros this morning—you’re heading to another Saronic island, Aegina. Depending on the ferry schedule, stroll Poros in the morning or head right to Aegina. Once you arrive, feel free to cruise around as you please or relax on the beach and dip in the sparkling sea.
You’re well-rested, but today doesn’t pose much of a challenge anyway. Like the vibes on Aegina, the itinerary today is very chill. You can either meander the museums and archaeological sites or cycle to the postcard-like village of Perdika.
If you don’t feel like riding and crave sweeping vistas, a few hiking options are available to you, like summiting Ellanios Mountain. Return to your hotel for some Greek hospitality and relaxation.
Get an early start so you’re not riding during the heat of the day! Hop on your bike and ride inland to visit some fascinating religious sites, like the Aguis Nektariois Monastery and the Temple of Aphaia. Feel the ancient Greek atmosphere as you continue through a few hamlets, stopping at a seaside resort for a midday break.
Ascend a steep hill to be rewarded by a visit to a charming tavern in Anitseo, then round out the day with a descent down the west coast to land in Aegina town. Treat yourself to a delectable dinner on your last night of the tour.
After breakfast, you will ride to the port to take a ferry back to Piraeus. Someone will meet you to collect your bikes and your tour will come to an end. Continue onto the next part of your journey full of memories from this epic trip.
Reward yourself after your rides with traditional Greek cuisine and drinks with stunning sea views.
Admire Byzantine architecture smattered throughout ancient hamlets on Aegina and Poros.
Follow the detailed map and guides to unique areas of Poros and Aegina islands.
After long days on the bike, put your feet up by the pool at your charming accommodations.
