Day 1 Your Tour Starts in Liberia
This tour has a self-drive and a transfer option. When you arrive in Liberia you’ll either pick up your rental vehicle or take the included transfer to your hotel in Rincon de la Vieja. Spend your first day getting settled and relaxing at the hotel.

Day 2 Adventures in Rincon de la Vieja
Today you have a full day of adventure as you explore the beautiful rainforest and waterfalls that surround the volcano. Soar over the forest on a zipline course, go rappelling, and then go horseback riding on an exciting adventure excursion.
After a busy day, you can unwind in the natural thermal pools and give yourself a volcanic mud facial.

Day 3 Hiking in Las Pailas
Take a hike through the dry side of the tropical forest and visit the thermal mud pools known as “Las Pailas” today. This nature walk will show off all the plants and animals of Rincon de La Vieja National Park, and even some of the geothermal volcanic activity!

Day 4 Journey to the Pacific Coast
After your breakfast, you’ll take the two-hour drive up to the northern Pacific Coast. Here you’ll find the beautiful beaches of Tamarindo and your all-inclusive beach resort.
Get settled into your hotel and enjoy a sunset stroll along the water's edge.

Day 5 Surf’s Up in Tamarindo
Tamarindo is well known for beaches, sunshine, and surf! Today you’ll try out this popular pastime and take a 2-hour surf lesson, which basically guarantees you’ll be standing and riding your first wave by the end of the day.

Day 6 Free Day at the Resort
The next two days are completely free for you to do as much or as little as you’d like. Relax on the beach and take advantage of the hotel activities.

Day 8 Return to Liberia
It will be time to check out after breakfast. A transfer will pick you up to bring you to the airport. If you chose the car rental option, you’ll drive yourself to Liberia to return your vehicle and catch your flight home.

This partially-guided adventure tour in Costa Rica is run as a group tour with a standard and deluxe class option. The price differs for each class of tour. Note that the listed prices are based on 4-person families with two children under 12 sharing one room.
Explore the beaches of Costa Rica by joining group activities in numerous wonderful destinations. Prices below are per person, based on a family of two adults and two children, with children under 12 years of age sharing a room. Older children will incur an additional fee. Different group combinations are available on request:
