See the best of Nicaragua from the Pacific to the Caribbean
The 10-Day Coast to Coast Nicaragua Tour shows off the history, culture, cuisine, and stunning natural beauty that Nicaragua has to offer. This guided tour takes you to active volcanos, nature reserves, hidden rockpools, waterfalls, and local communities. You'll see the best of the colonial cities of Leon and Granada, stay on Ometepe Island in Lake Nicaragua, and fly east to Corn Island where you can soak in the Caribbean Sea.
Experience Nicaragua's hidden gems, famous sites, and peaceful paradise islands on this sun-soaked tour from coast to coast.
Your tour begins when you arrive in Managua, Nicaragua's bustling capital city. A driver will greet you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel for the night.
Today your guide will take you to the historic city of Leon, a former colonial capital that boasts beautiful architecture and museums. Later you visit a small fishing community and relax on the sandy beaches of the coastline.
Heading into the cool altitude of the mountains, you'll visit La Garnacha, a rural village and farm with a cheese factory known for its delicious cheeses.
You'll spend the night at a nearby ecolodge in the hills with beautiful views of the mountains and valleys.
Leaving the hills behind you return to the coast to Granada, a UNESCO World Heritage city recognized for its historic value and preserved colonial architecture.
You'll also take a boat tour of the tiny islands that lay off the coast of Granada and see the local wildlife.
As the oldest city in Latin America, Granada is full of national treasures and landmarks. After touring the city's top sights, you visit some handicraft markets. Later in the evening you head to the Masaya Volcano and peer into the crater to see the geothermal activity.
After breakfast, you head to the port to catch a ferry to Ometepe Island, a tropical gem in Lake Nicaragua formed by two towering volcanos. There are placid lagoons, black sand beaches, and indigenous rock carvings to explore.
This lovely little island is home to the Charco Verde nature reserve with walking trails, many bird species, and a butterfly house.
After enjoying Ometepe's flora and fauna, catch the ferry back to the mainland and head to Managua.
From Managua Airport you take a quick domestic flight to the east coast of Nicaragua to stay on Corn Island, a tiny island gem in the Caribbean Sea. Check in to your beachfront hotel and check out from all of your worries.
After waking up to find yourself in paradise, you have a full day to enjoy Corn Island, whether it's snorkelling, swimming, biking around the island, or just laying back in a hammock.
You won't want to, but it's time to head back to the real world with a flight back to Managua. From Managua International Airport you take your outbound flight back home. Safe travels!

I’ve been using 10Adventures route guides for a while, but had never booked a tour. My wife and I booked a self-guided hike in Greece and were so impressed with how we were able navigate the route without a guide with the detailed and easy to follow itinerary. We enjoy travelling independently, and 10Adventures made that happen.

I’ve adventured around a lot of Canada and the US, but I’ve always wanted to explore other parts of the world. I felt a bit scared before booking my trip to Israel, but my conversations with the team at 10Adventures helped ease any worry. I can’t wait to explore more of the world!

Travel companies have had to go through a lot during the pandemic but 10Adventures were super flexible and accommodating nonetheless. I had to cancel my tour in France due to the pandemic. 10Adventures was great and let me reschedule for a later date!

Communicating with 10Adventures feels like talking with a family-run business. I love to explore and travel, and exploring with the comfort of knowing I can talk to the team at 10Adventures with almost immediate feedback helps to ease any stress that comes with adventuring!

Whenever I’m looking for my next adventure 10Adventures never fails. Their routes all over England are my main go to for exploring and I have only had great experiences booking both guided and self-guided trips in Europe and South America with them. I am looking into Africa next.

I just got back from backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, and WOW. What an unreal journey! The alpine meadows, waterfalls, and the lakeside camping spot were memorable highlights! I wonder what other tours 10Adventures has to offer. That one went so well that I am now convinced I need to book another!

I'm not a big fan of traveling because of my fear of flying, but my girlfriend convinced me to go on the Aurora Borealis Tour in the Yukon. I will never forget the mesmerizing northern lights. Such a romantic (and cold) getaway. I would highly recommend it.
