Happiness Promise
There are hundreds of thousands of guides and tour operators around the world. Figuring out who to trust is stressful and hard.
That’s why we started 10Adventures Tours, we’re here to make it easy to find a great guide or tour operator. We handpick the best local guides and tour operators for 10Adventures, working to ensure you have great guides and a great trip.
We know it sucks to show up in a different country and find out the tents are junk, the guide incompetent or the route different from what we thought we were getting.
We want to give our users peace of mind that you’ll have a great trip and offer a guarantee that we will work with you to make it right.
How does this work?
Well, if you feel that something about your trip didn’t’ meet your expectations, let us know. We will then work to gather the details and figure out where things went wrong. If something indeed wasn’t as described, or went wrong with your trip, and the problem was within the control of either oursleves, the guide or the tour company, we will then work out a refund with you that’s proportional to the scale of the problem.
Obviously the best way to make a great trip is to tell your local guide or tour operator and give them the chance to fix the solution while you are on your trip. Most things can be solved by telling your guide when the issue develops. If that doesn’t solve it, then email us right away. Please don’t wait to voice your concerns until the trip is over, as it’s much harder to solve issues after the fact.
We work hard to make sure you have a great trip. If something isn’t right, please email hello@10adventures.co and we will get to work right away.

If Iceland is on your bucket list, the Laugavegur and Fimmvorduhals Trekking Tour is sure to deliver!
Welcome to Iceland! You’ll meet your guide and group at the bus station in Reykjavík to depart for the trailhead together. Along the ride, you’ll start to see the landscapes changing, entering into the region that holds the incredible trails you’ll walk on over the next week. Reach Landmannalaugar by noon, have lunch, then set out for the mountains on trails rich with geothermal activity and colourful mountains and hills. You’ll be welcomed to the Hrafntinnusker hut by the late afternoon, where you can relax while your guides prepare your first Icelandic dinner. Settle into your cozy accommodation for the night.
Rise early and enjoy breakfast prepared by your guides. Today, you’ll hike south through the gorges of Jökultungur, a region filled with hundreds of steaming mineral springs and mud pools. Your guide will then lead you to an outstanding viewpoint to see the tremendous Mýrdalsjökull and Eyjafjallajökull glaciers. Reach the lakeside hut in Álftavatn by the late afternoon. Drop your bags, and wander around this area as you watch the sunset behind the mountains and wait for dinner. Get a good night’s sleep for a big day tomorrow.
Get up to catch the sunrise over Álftavatn lake, then enjoy a hearty breakfast with your group. Today’s hike leads you over ethereal terrain from the black-sand deserts of Mælifellssandur to colourful volcanoes jutting out of the earth. Continue towards the Emstrur region, home to local shepherds, and the impressive Markafljót Canyon, reaching 200 m in depth. You’ll arrive at the Botnar hut to stay the night. Check out the brilliant stars when it gets dark—you are so far from civilization now!
Wake up for a nice breakfast with the crew, then set out for another awesome day of hiking. Descend into gorges and come out to find views of colourful hills in the Emstrur region. Enter into a new landscape of dense birch forests and vivid flowers as you arrive in Þórsmörk. Your guides will lead you to your hut accommodation for the night.
Today you will climb up the hills leading to the pass of Fimmvörðuháls, walking along the Kattarhryggir ridges with views to the impressive mountain of Útigönguhöfði up to Morinsheiði heath. At the end of the Morinsheiði plateau, you will have an amazing view of the lava stream that flowed down from the Fimmvörðuháls volcano.
Continuing uphill above Morinsheiði, you will arrive near the two craters Magni and Móði that erupted prior to the main Eyjafjallajökull crater. Afterwards, you will head back to Þórsmörk with the magnificent view over the glaciers and this beautiful valley for a celebratory barbeque dinner and night in Básar Hut.
Day 6 of the tour will be your last day spent in the hiker’s paradise of Þórsmörk, where you will have an abundance of choices between various paths. For example, you can choose to visit the Sönghellir cave (“Song cave”), climb up the small mountain of Valahnúkur – from where the magnificent views can be enjoyed – or hike into the beautifully carved canyon Stakkholtsgjá. This oasis between the mountains is also an ideal place to relax and just enjoy nature. In the afternoon you will make your return to Reykjavik to wrap up the adventure.
