Begin your day in the lively city centre of Villach before taking a short bus ride to Rosstratte, surrounded by the beautiful natural scenery of Carinthia. From here, follow scenic hiking trails towards Mount Dobratsch, Villach’s iconic local mountain and a popular destination for nature lovers. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and picturesque lakes. Explore the magnificent Dobratsch Nature Park, covering 7,250 hectares of forests, alpine pastures, rivers, and mountain landscapes that provide a rich habitat for a remarkable variety of plants and wildlife.

In the morning you take public transport to the starting point of the stage in Thörl-Maglern (included). Your hike takes you for a while along the border between Austria and Italy, mostly through untouched natural landscape. On the descent, you will quickly gain altitude and soon see the church of Camporosso, your stage destination.

Your trail today leads you on a circuit from Camporosso. You’ll begin walking to Monte Lussari, a sanctuary that has been a pilgrimage destination visited for centuries. Your hike will bring you to fantastic viewpoints where you’ll be treated to stunning views of the Julian Alps.

A shuttle will transfer you to the start of your walk at the base of Mangart. Your hike will take you through the woods to the glacial White Lakes. You’ll walk through meadows, plateaus, and forests on your way to the Slovenian border.
Your destination today is the ski area Kranjska Gora, where you’ll spend the night.
