Happiness Promise
There are hundreds of thousands of guides and tour operators around the world. Figuring out who to trust is stressful and hard.
That’s why we started 10Adventures Tours, we’re here to make it easy to find a great guide or tour operator. We handpick the best local guides and tour operators for 10Adventures, working to ensure you have great guides and a great trip.
We know it sucks to show up in a different country and find out the tents are junk, the guide incompetent or the route different from what we thought we were getting.
We want to give our users peace of mind that you’ll have a great trip and offer a guarantee that we will work with you to make it right.
How does this work?
Well, if you feel that something about your trip didn’t’ meet your expectations, let us know. We will then work to gather the details and figure out where things went wrong. If something indeed wasn’t as described, or went wrong with your trip, and the problem was within the control of either oursleves, the guide or the tour company, we will then work out a refund with you that’s proportional to the scale of the problem.
Obviously the best way to make a great trip is to tell your local guide or tour operator and give them the chance to fix the solution while you are on your trip. Most things can be solved by telling your guide when the issue develops. If that doesn’t solve it, then email us right away. Please don’t wait to voice your concerns until the trip is over, as it’s much harder to solve issues after the fact.
We work hard to make sure you have a great trip. If something isn’t right, please email hello@10adventures.co and we will get to work right away.

Explore the mountains of Maine on this exciting hiking tour or Acadia National Park
Take the first step towards a private travel experience, customized just for you.
About this tour:
Spend six days exploring New England’s beautiful Acadia National Park on this guided hiking tour. Your expert guides will take you on the best trails the park has to offer, from challenging mountain trails to scenic beaches along the coastline.
You’ll be amazed by the difference between the charming coastal town of Bar Harbor and the scenic granite mountains of Acadia. During this tour, you’ll be climbing Dorr, Cadillac, Penobscot, and Gorham Mountains. Then, take to the water for a sea kayaking where you’ll explore remote bays in protected coastal waters. After your daily adventures, you’ll be returning to Bar Harbor to enjoy the famous New England hospitality (and lobster rolls!). The Hiking Tour in Acadia National Park is unforgettable each step of the way.
Meet the group early at the Bangor airport. You’ll have breakfast and then make the hour drive to Acadia National Park.
You’ll start your hike along a carriage road to Witch Hole Pond. In the afternoon you’ll be hiking the Sieur de Monts Springs area where you’ll discover mountain springs, plank bridges, and beautiful views. After the hike, you’ll check-in at the hotel in Bar Harbor.
Start your day with a stroll through the harbor and a short walk along the Bar Harbor shore path. Then you’ll head back to the park and start your strenuous hike up Dorr Mountain. The scenery will be spectacular from the top, as well as on your descent as you walk through the gorge between Dorr and Cadillac.
Your hike today will be up Cadillac Mountain. As you climb, the odds are good that you’ll see wildlife, especially the birds of prey that frequent Eagles Crag.
On the way back you’ll take a lunch break at Featherbed pond before returning to Bar Harbor.
This may be a hiking tour of the mountains, but no trip to New England is complete without getting out on the water! Today you’ll go on a sea kayaking excursion. There is no experience required as you’ll receive instruction and will be kayaking on the protected western side of Acadia.
The areas of Blue Hill Bay or Western Bay are less busy and offer a great chance to paddle in a remote area that is away from the open ocean. In the afternoon you can explore charming Bar Harbor, relax at the hotel, or wander a trail on your own.
Your hike today will begin from Jordon Pond House where you’ll pick up the trail to climb Penobscot Mountain. The climb is steep and offers beautiful views of the Cranberry Isles, a smattering of islands in the deep blue sea.
Reward yourself with a snack at Jordon Pond House on your way back into town.
Your last day already! Take the trail from Sand Beach and start the challenging hike up the Beehive. The track gets so steep that certain points have iron rungs to help your ascent. The views from the top are fantastic, especially in the fall when the trees are deep red and golden.
After this thrilling climb, you’ll walk over Gorham Mountain, and then loop back to Sand Beach. You’ll have time for a final lunch by the sea before returning to Bangor.
Experience two trips in one as you explore the rugged mountains and return to the beautiful Maine coastline.
Hike through the scenic mountains of Acadia and explore the forests, gorges, and glacial pools in the national park.
Look for birds and marine life while you paddle through the wilderness on a sea kayak.
Take in the spectacular views from your seaside hotel, the perfect way to end each day.
