Explore the hiking trails in the majestic mountains of Rocky Mountain National Park
Explore the beautiful Colorado mountains on this 6-day guided hiking tour of Rocky Mountain National Park. You’ll love staying in the park with easy access to incredible hikes where you’ll explore new sights every day, passing below 54 named summits exceeding 14,000 feet.
This energetic trip features hikes that explore the valleys, gorges, lakes, and ridges in the national park. Each hike offers incredible mountain views, tranquil alpine scenery, and hopefully, some local wildlife will make an appearance. This tour is the perfect way to take the guesswork out of planning a hiking holiday in Colorado that you’ll never forget!
The shuttle to the national park will meet you at the Denver airport and bring you to the Wild Basin Trailhead. Today will be a nice and easy hike to the Calypso Cascades and Ouzel Falls.
On the way back you’ll enjoy the quiet North St. Vrain Trail before settling in at your hotel in Estes Park.
A short shuttle ride will drop you off this morning at the Bear Lake trailhead. You’ll be hiking up the ridge that flanks Flattop Mountain.
After you’ve hiked past Lake Helene, you’ll arrive at Fern Creek Valley. As you walk along its ledge, you’ll have amazing views of the surrounding peaks including Little Matterhorn. As you continue hiking past lakes and rivers keep your eyes open for the elk that live in the valley.
Your hike today starts at the Glacier Gorge trailhead, and you’ll be following Glacier Creek as you work your way up the gorge.
On your route, you’ll see Alberta Falls and a few alpine lakes before you clear the tree line and arrive at Timberline Falls. It’s a quick scramble along the top of the falls to reach the stunning Lake of Glass.
Your final stop for the day will be the scenic Sky Pond. You’ll love taking in the panoramic mountain views on your descent!
Head back to the Bear Lake trailhead to start today's journey. This time you’ll be hiking towards some of the most picturesque lakes in the park, including Bear, Nymph, Dream, Emerald, and Haiyaha lakes.
After enjoying the incredible views of the surrounding peaks, you’ll be collected by the van and driven along the Trail Ridge Road. During the ride, you’ll be mostly above the treeline, so make sure you enjoy the awesome views from 12,183 feet before descending into Grand Lake and your new home base for the rest of the tour.
Today you’ll be taking on the more challenging hike up the East Inlet Trail. You’ll be able to stop at Adams Falls before arriving at blissful Lone Pine Lake, a perfect picnic spot.
As you hike through the valley today, keep your eyes open for the moose that frequent the area.
Even though today is the last day, you still have one more fabulous hike in store! The shuttle will take you to the Olde Ute Trailhead where you’ll begin walking along the shores of Poudre Lake. You’ll see rock spires and hanging gardens as you hike until you eventually climb above the Timberline.
Enjoy your final expansive view of the Rockies as you hike above the trees to Fall River Pass and the Alpine Visitor Center. The shuttle will pick you up after lunch and bring you back to the Denver airport.

I’ve been using 10Adventures route guides for a while, but had never booked a tour. My wife and I booked a self-guided hike in Greece and were so impressed with how we were able navigate the route without a guide with the detailed and easy to follow itinerary. We enjoy travelling independently, and 10Adventures made that happen.

I’ve adventured around a lot of Canada and the US, but I’ve always wanted to explore other parts of the world. I felt a bit scared before booking my trip to Israel, but my conversations with the team at 10Adventures helped ease any worry. I can’t wait to explore more of the world!

Travel companies have had to go through a lot during the pandemic but 10Adventures were super flexible and accommodating nonetheless. I had to cancel my tour in France due to the pandemic. 10Adventures was great and let me reschedule for a later date!

Whenever I’m looking for my next adventure 10Adventures never fails. Their routes all over England are my main go to for exploring and I have only had great experiences booking both guided and self-guided trips in Europe and South America with them. I am looking into Africa next.

I just got back from backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, and WOW. What an unreal journey! The alpine meadows, waterfalls, and the lakeside camping spot were memorable highlights! I wonder what other tours 10Adventures has to offer. That one went so well that I am now convinced I need to book another!

I'm not a big fan of traveling because of my fear of flying, but my girlfriend convinced me to go on the Aurora Borealis Tour in the Yukon. I will never forget the mesmerizing northern lights. Such a romantic (and cold) getaway. I would highly recommend it.
