Arrive in Tashkent
Fly into Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
Discover Tashkent
Spend the morning exploring Tashkent, the biggest modern city in Central Asia and the capital of Uzbekistan. The city is divided into two parts: old and new.
Explore Bukhara
Munch on breakfast before setting off for your old town tour in the central part of the city around 9am. After a lengthy, but quality morning tour, you’ll eat lunch at tchaikhana Labi House (you will pay for your own meal). Then, continue exploring Bukhara, one of the oldest cities in Central Asia. At the end of the day, kick back, relax, and enjoy a dinner included in the tour price!
Day trip from Bukhara
Head out of the city after breakfast to visit Sitorai-Mokhi-Hossa, where you’ll discover a revered monument of Bukhara: the Mausoleum of Bakhaouddin Nakhchbandi, named after a very respected founder saint of Sufi Islam. Head back to Bukhara after exploring this area. Spend the afternoon relishing the charms of the city before meeting up for dinner.
Get on your horse!
Get ready for a jam-packed day! First, you’ll depart towards Nurata, stopping en route in Guijduvan to visit the workshop of master ceramist, Abdullo. Then, go on an excursion to the Ceramics Museum and the pottery workshop. After, you’ll continue your road trip, visiting the remains of the ancient Rabat-i-Malik caravanserai and the Sardoba water reservoir en route. Enjoy lunch in Nurata upon arrival before exploring the area a little bit. Afterward, continue to your next road trip stop: Majrum. You’ll finally get to meet your horses before setting off through ancient pine to Uhum, where you’ll stay in a cozy guest house.
Travel to Uhum
Start your day with a horseback ride to Hayot. Explore the park and the mouflons for around two. Enjoy lunch before embarking on another two-hour walk towards the forest, marvelling at the everyday village life as you explore.
Travel to Sentob
Depart on horseback with a guide before stopping for a picnic behind the pass after a 3-hour ride. Then, continue your journey to the Guest house in Sentob. On the way, you can appreciate beautiful landscapes and charming villages.
Ride to Lake Fozilman
Today, you’ll ride to Lake Fozilman. En route, you’ll see a very old walnut forest planted by the local people. New walnut trees are planted progressively in order to preserve the forest! There are also willows, poplars and other conifers harking back thousands of years. Enjoy a scrumptious picnic lunch along the way before spending the night in a tent by the lake. A dinner by the fire awaits!
Continue to Lake Aydarkul
Continue your horseback adventure with a ride to Lake Aydarkul today with a picnic lunch en route. You might even be able to swim in the lake, depending on the season you travel! Spend the evening enjoying dinner under the stars and around a campfire, with traditional music and songs by the Kazakh troubadour Akyn. Then, enjoy a night in your yurt! Side note: a chance may arise to ride on the back of a Baktrian camel!
Transfer to Samarkand
Transfer to Samarkand with a few possible stops at charming villages en route. Spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure!
Discover Samarkand
Spend the day exploring Samarkand, which boasts a similar birth date to Rome, Athens, and Babylon. You’ll embark on a city tour of the old part of the city before sitting down for lunch on your own. Then, continue the city tour! During the evening, you will be treated to a special dinner with local dry red wine and a cooking course. Then, you’ll get to discover Samarkand by night!
Day trip to Shakhrisabz
Go on a quick day trip before heading back to Tashkent via train. The day trip will take you to Shakhrisabz through a mountain pass (90km away), where the national hero Timur, also known as Tamerlane, was born. Visit the Ak Saray “White Palace'', Kok Gumbaz Friday mosque, the Dorut Tilavat mausoleum, and the Dorus Siadat mausoleum. Enjoy lunch on your own before you return to Samarkand. Before you go back to Tashkent, you’ll get to check out the silk paper factory. Transfer to the train station from here, where you’ll take a speed train to Tashkent (2h 10 min). Enjoy a Farewell dinner at a restaurant before discovering “Tashkent by night” via bus!

Eat Breakfast at the hotel before spending the morning at your leisure. After check-out, you’ll transfer to the airport, where the program ends.
