Circuit from Valldemossa and Optional Ascent of Pico Es Teix
This morning marks your first exciting day of walking in Mallorca as you set out from Valldemossa on the Archduke's Trail. This ancient path, used for horseback riding by Archduke Ludwig Salvador, will lead you through the grounds of a remarkable private estate.
Optionally, you can ascend the Pico Es Teix (1062m, 3484ft) this afternoon for even better views.
Visit the Artists’ Colony of Deia and the Coastal Town of Puerto Soller
This morning, a short transfer will take you to the colourful artists’ colony of Deia where you’ll have some time to explore its vibrant streets. Setting out from Deia, you’ll then walk to the coastal town of Puerto de Sóller along a striking stretch of coast. Enjoy walking through tranquil Mediterranean woods of pine, oak, and madrone trees.
Continuing along the path, you’ll soon be welcomed onto another lavish private estate, where you’ll enjoy a refreshing glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice.
Walk the Coastline through Orange and Olive Orchards
This morning, a taxi transfer will take you to the lively summer beach village of Cala Tuent, where you’ll embark on an exciting 6-hour walk along the stunning coastline to Puerto de Sóller.
Along the trail you’ll cross a farm at Balitx d’Avall, where you’ll be greeted by the fragrant scent of citrus floating in the air. It emanates from the vast orange groves that line your path. Continuing to walk through one of the most remote valleys in all of Mallorca, you’ll also see the beautiful local olive groves.
Circuit Walk from Puerto de Sóller
A steep ascent will get the blood flowing this morning as you make your way from the port up to the clifftops that overlook the magnificent bay. Here, you’ll enjoy views from Torre Picada, taking in the rocky coastline and the island of S’Illeta just offshore.
A steep descent from the peak along a wide ravine will lead you to Sa Punta Llarga, a great promontory that offers unparalleled vistas over the sea.
Visit the Monastery of Lluc
Today there are two route options for walkers to choose between.
Option 1: Walk to the Monastery of Lluc
A transfer will take you to Lake Cuber this morning, where you'll begin to trace one of the most scenic stages of the GR-221. This will lead you to the remote monastery of Lluc.
The trail's initial section entails a peaceful lakeside walk followed by a steep ascent up to 1210m (3698 ft). Continuing the trail downhill, you'll follow a restored cobbled path among oak groves to reach the pilgrimage site at Lluc. Here you'll have the chance to see the famous "Black Madonna," the patron saint of Mallorca.
Following your visit to Lluc, a taxi will take you to your accommodations in Pollença.
Option 2: Walk from Lluc to Pollença
Enjoy a shorter walk from Lluc after enjoying the monastery and pilgrimage site to your accommodations in Pollença.
Walk Boquer Valley or Cala ses Barques to Sant Vicenç Cove
For your final day of walking, you’ll choose from two wonderful route options, both exploring scenic coastal areas.
Option 1: Boquer Valley
The less challenging of the two walks will take you into the Boquer Valley, a beautiful nature reserve home to a myriad of birds and a spectacular private beach. This walk concludes with a stroll along Port Pollença’s magical seaside promenade.
Option 2: Cala ses Barques to Sant Vicenç Cove
Walk from Cala ses Barques to Sant Vicenç Cove before retracing your steps and continuing via the Siller Pass and onto Port Pollença.
Both routes end in Port Pollença, where you can catch the bus back to your accommodations in Pollença.
Once back in Pollença, spend the evening lazing by the swimming pool at your hotel or exploring the sandy shores of the pine-fringed beach.
Depart Pollença
This morning after breakfast, you’ll say good-bye to this beautiful Spanish island you’ve come to love and head to the airport to depart.
