10-Day Camino de Santiago in Luxury
It was an exhiliarating and awesome experience that exceeded all my expectations!
Depart early from Quebec City along Route 138 towards Havre-Saint-Pierre. Arrive at the campground in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight preparations.
Load kayaks with food and equipment for the expedition, followed by a safety briefing and introduction to kayaking techniques. Begin paddling through the islands, passing Hammer Island and Gull Island, before reaching the camp on the Island of Le Havre.
Paddle towards Ghost Island and Niapisku Island, stopping for lunch and a short hike to admire the monoliths. Continue to Quarry Island to set up camp, which will serve as the base for the next three nights.
Spend the day exploring Quarry Island with a hike to discover its iconic monoliths. Depending on time, paddle around the island to appreciate its marine surroundings.
Paddle to Grande Île for a short hike to view the stunning monoliths before returning to Quarry Island for another night under the stars.
On the final kayaking day, explore new sections of Havre-Saint-Pierre on the return journey. Celebrate the adventure with a hot shower, a stay at a local inn, and a farewell dinner featuring local flavors.
Depart from Havre-Saint-Pierre in the morning, traveling back to Quebec City by the evening.
