The Ristafallsrundan hike has it all with forest behind rapids, meadows, and two big waterfalls with rainbows. This is an easy hike with history boards about the Swedish army that walked this way.
On the E14 head towards Trostebacken, continue past Undersaker and Halland. You will see a white sign from the road for "Ristafallets camping". This is where the hike starts.

Route Description for Ristafallsrundan
Start in the parking lot of “Ristafallets camping” and go straight down to the big sound of the waterfall. This waterfall is one of the biggest and is also famous because the children’s movie “Ronja Rövardotter” was filmed here in the middle of the waterfall.
On the right side of the waterfall you can actually go behind the waterfall and into a cave. Don’t do this if there is so much water that you think that you might slip down.
Then a little forest trail goes to the left side that you are going to follow behind the waterfall down the river. Small history boards line the side of the trail.
You will come to little summer houses and follow over the railway until you come to a bridge. Walking over the bridge and to the right, the trail goes behind the river and leads you to the second waterfall. Here is good place to see rainbows. The last kilometers lead you through forest and meadows and back to the parking lot.
This trail goes through many different environments and you will see many types of flowers so be sure to have a flower book with you.
