Route Description for Downley Loop Path
The Downley Loop Path leads you through stunning woodland scenery. In some places, the path can be muddy during wetter months and outside of summer, so keep this in mind before you go. You can also expect some undulations throughout the walk! You’ll set out in a clockwise direction from your car—as if you’re walking toward West Wycombe. Do note that you can take on this route from anywhere as some have found the trailhead in this route to be a bit strange. Wherever you go, be sure to bring a map along!
Getting to the Downley Loop Path Trailhead
To get to the start of the Downley Loop Path, head to High Wycombe toward The Pastures before turning right onto Plomer Hill, followed by a left on Plomer Green Ave. Continue driving before turning right onto Gray’s Lane. 113 m later, take a left onto Gosling Grove and follow along this road (and turn right to stay on it). Park at the end of the road. An alternative parking spot would be the lay-by in West Wycombe at the playing field.
