Revealing the diversity and beauty of the Colorado wilderness, this trek is a must-do the next time you find yourself in the area.
Route Description for Gold Camp Road
The Gold Camp Road Hike is a stunning adventure that exhibits sights of the encompassing mountainous wilderness, forested valleys, waterfalls, and even the odd view of the cityscape. Admire the diversity and uniqueness of the area’s terrain as you venture the wide dirt route. Shared with other eager explorers, it is important to be mindful of passers-by. Furthermore, be mindful of snakes, including rattlers when hiking in the warmer months. If you are heading out in the winter months, be sure to tack on a pair of snowshoes! Embark on your adventure along the Gold Camp Trailhead off the Gold Camp Road. From here, track the Gold Camp Road southwest to the Seven Bridges Trailhead. Here, the path will divert east through mixed pine woodlands lined with craggy cliffs. As you venture further along the route you will be granted epic vistas of the mountainous landscape that stretches for as far as the eye can see. Passing Stove Mountain and several charming creeks you will soon near your adventure’s end. Once you reach the intersection with Sweet Water Road you have met your turnaround point.. If you still have some gas left in the tank, then feel free to explore further. If not, simply retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.Getting to the Gold Camp Road Trailhead
