Behind the Waterfall Hike
The Behind the Waterfall Hike is a fun Crans Montana adventure that will allow you to discover the wild valley of the Raspille river, stretching from 1,150 m up to 1,700 m. It will take you a little under 3 hours to complete the walk and the path is mainly through the forest. It is a fairly technical course with some passages on the edge of ravines.

Route Description for Behind the Waterfall Hike
Setting out from the trailhead, the Behind the Waterfall Hike will lead you northeast, before turning south along the Bisse du Tsittoret. Turning east, you will descend through a ravine and follow the trail as it turns north through La Fortsey. After the river, you will cross the hamlet of Raspille and climb towards Le Pichiour. This is a beautiful section of the hike where the trail goes around the back of the waterfall. Back on the path, you will pass through several hairpin bends and continue through forest environment to reach the area of the Mayens de l'Aprili. Here, the trail passes close to a picnic spot where you can stop before descending to the starting point.
Getting to the Behind the Waterfall Hike Trailhead
To reach Crans-Montana by car, take the exit of the A9 motorway (Rhône motorway) called "Sierre ouest". At the motorway exit, turn left and follow the signs for "Sierre". At the roundabout, turn right. Continue for 500 m, then at the entrance to Sierre, turn left following the signs for "Crans-Montana". The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Crans-Montana, follow the signs for Aminona, and then the signs for Aminona car park.
