Raven Trail travels from the Crater Lake Lodge on the edge of Crater Lake through the trees along a ridge. This trail is used for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. It’s not super well marked, but it’s a pleasant trip through the woods with some areas where previous burns have opened up the views. Expect light to moderate traffic on this trail.
Route Description for Raven Trail
Raven Trail runs from near the Crater Lake Lodge along a ridge south of the lake. This trail is used throughout the year by hikers, snowshoers, and cross-country skiers. It’s moderately difficult and offers forest and mountain views.
The signage isn’t great, but keep an eye out for blue diamonds on the trees and you can find your way through. From the trailhead, the route drops down off the immediate crater edge and then hugs the edge of a ridge as it runs parallel to the road.
The route ends where it reaches the road. At this point, turn around and retrace your steps to the trailhead.

The trailhead for Raven Trail is just east of Crater Lake Lodge.
