Route Description for Gold Bar Park Loop
Hiking the Gold Bar Park Loop trail is an easy effort that is perfect for families or groups of all abilities. It is an easy way to get fresh air in the city. Take a stroll along the North Saskatchewan River and enjoy the amenities found within the park.
From the parking lot, hike south towards the pavilion and large barbecue area. Join the trail signed as the Lake Loop and continue south, passing many picnic areas along the way. Begin contouring around the man made lake after 600 m heading back north toward the main trailhead. Plan a picnic to enjoy at one of the many scenic picnic areas.
Getting to the Gold Bar Park Loop Trailhead
To get to Gold Bar Park Loop trailhead, find your way to the Gold Bar neighborhood near the Northeast Edmonton Industrial Area. Take 95 St to 106 Ave NW, and make your way onto 50 St NW to Gold Bar Park Road NW where you will find the parking lot for the park.
