Route Description for Lincoln Lake Hike

Immerse yourself in nature as you traverse the forested path up to the mountain cirque and alpine lake. Not only will you hike through lush forestlands, but you will pass through vast meadows and tree burn. The easy-to-navigate terrain and gradual grade up to the lake means this hike is easily manageable by hikers of most skill levels. Note a bit of stamina is needed to complete this excursion as it is on the longer side.

Embark on your Lincoln Lake Hike from the Echo Lake Campground. Track southeast along the Resthouse Meadows Trail. Travel through the plains and admire the encompassing mountainous scenery before the path guides you below the tree shade. Trek up the forested path, and you will eventually intersect with Vance Creek. Hike up the route, and the tree coverage will become more sparse, and you travel through the burn. Soon you will ascend the timberline and encounter a junction. At this intersection, veer right onto the Lincoln Lake Trail. Walk up the trail to the alpine lake.

Appreciate the grandeur of the flanking ridges and the mirroring lake. Dip your tired feet in the inviting waters before beginning your return. When you are ready, backtrack along the trail to the car park and campground.
