    Aster Park Trail is an amazing hike that travels through the wilderness and showcases many mountains, such as Rising Wolf, Sinopah and Lone Walker. This trail is also home to Two Medicine Lake, Aster Falls, and Aster Park Overlook. Wandering through this trail is a good way to spot wildlife, such as moose, as the beaver ponds provide prime habitat for them. Keep in mind that this hike is a difficult one and is only recommended for experienced hikers.

    Route Description for Aster Park Trail

    Aster Park Trail is a wonderful mix of soaring mountains, lakes, ponds, waterfalls and wildlife. This hike is for more experienced hikers, so keep that in mind! It begins at the South Shore Trailhead at Two Medicine Lake. After hiking for 0.4 km, you will come across Paradise Point, which has a small beach and has stunning views of Rising Wolf Mountain. As you continue on, you will pass through beaver ponds, which are prime areas for spotting moose! At 1.8 km, you will arrive at Aster Creek and which is the beginning of Aster Park Trail and leads to Aster Falls. Continuing for 0.2 km will bring you to the base of Aster Falls and the Overlook. When you have finished exploring, head back the way you came as this is an out-and-back trail.

    Getting to the Aster Park Trail Trailhead

    To get to Aster Park Trail from East Glacier Park Village, head West on Midvale Street toward MT-49 North and turn right. After 5.6 km, turn left onto Two Medicine Road, and after 11.6 km, keep left and then take your first right and arrive at your destination.
