The Patricia Lake Loop is a must-do along the pyramid bench area. This is a multi-use trail available to hikers, bikers, and horseback riders. You’ll complete a loop on the north shore of the lake and wrap around through the forest to where you started.

Route Description for Patricia Lake Hike
The Patricia Lake hike is a great loop for all abilities. It is not an officially maintained trail but sees enough traffic to be well packed and easy to follow. This is too bumpy for strollers or chariots, so make sure everyone is ready for a walk.
This is a must do hike if you are stopping at Patricia Lake. It doesn’t take long and takes you away from the main day use area for some solitude. The trail leads you along the lakeshore beyond the picnic area for 1.4 km before making a large u-turn into the forest and heading back.
You’ll be able to take in scenes of the lake as you make your way through the loop. Be careful, this trail can get very muddy.

- Spending the day along the Pyramid Bench is a must-do! Visit nearby Pyramid Lake and Pyramid Island. Pack a picnic lunch to eat at one of the many rest areas.
- Book a night at the beautiful Patricia Lake Bungalows if you are looking for something a bit more luxurious.
- Head over to Jasper Riding Stables and book a horse tour in the area.
Getting to the Patricia Lake Hike Trailhead
To get to Patricia Lake, travel north on Connaught Drive, and turn left onto Pyramid Lake Road. Follow this road for 4.5 km until you reach an intersection for Patricia Lake Bungalows. Continue on the main road until you come to the parking lot by the beach. The trail starts just ahead of the parking by the picnic area.
