The Reflection Lakes via Mazama Ridge Loop hike is a 6.5mi heavily trafficked loop trail in Mount Rainier National Park that is rated as moderate. This trail is a fantastic way to appreciate the beauty of the Paradise region of the park, allowing you to enjoy Reflection Lakes, Faraway Rock, and views of Rainier and Panorama Point. You can easily customize this hike by taking one of the many intersecting trails.
Route Description for Reflection Lakes via Mazama Ridge Loop
The Reflection Lakes via Mazama Ridge Loop is a beautiful hike that packs several great viewpoints into one trail. This trail also offers ease of access to other trails in the Paradise area, making it simple to shorten or extend your journey as you please. The hike begins from the upper Paradise lot between the restrooms and the cafe. Take Skyline Trail roughly northeast. You’ll come up on Myrtle Falls, cross the creek, and then stay left onto Golden Gate Trail. Take the switchbacks past Golden Gate Falls, joining Skyline Trail shortly after. At the junction with Mazama Ridge Trail, go left and then stay left. Pass a handful of unnamed lakes before reaching Faraway Rock. stay right at the junction with Wonderland trail, skirting below Reflection Lakes back to the trailhead,Getting to the Reflection Lakes via Mazama Ridge Loop Trailhead
To get to the trailhead for the Reflection Lakes via Mazama Ridge Loop from the east entrance to the park, take Highway 123 to Stevens Canyon Road. 19.0mi from the turnoff, turn right onto Paradise Road East. In just over two miles, park at the upper lot.Route Information
