Route Description for Thrunton Wood Walk
Whether you are simply looking to get outside and enjoy some fresh air, or enjoy taking pleasant strolls through the forest, the Thrunton Wood Walk will be sure to have you covered. There are a few small inclines along this route, so be sure to wear proper walking boots for the journey.
Setting out from the car park, you will pick up the footpath in its northwest corner and enter into the dense cover of the forest. At the initial fork, take the path on the right and continue through the tree cover, passing straight through the next junction to begin climbing uphill.
As you traverse the fairly gentle grade, take some time to appreciate the natural beauty and serene atmosphere of the woodland landscape, looping around the hilltop before eventually making your descent. Arriving at the same junction you had previously passed, keep straight and follow the trail as it eventually takes you through the forest and back to the car park where you started.

The trailhead for the Thrunton Wood Walk can be found just 5.0 km southeast of Whittingham, at the Thrunton Wood car park.
