The Tall Trees Grove Loop Trail is a revered route that leads adventurers through a corridor of lush undergrowth and enormous redwoods. Immerse yourself in the enchanting terrain as you wander alongside, beneath, and over the enormous conifers. As this area is a popular destination, expect to share the crowds—but the grove is monitored, so it will never get out of hand. Because of this, a permit is required and can be reserved online up to 160 days in advance.

Embark on your journey along the Tall Trees Grove Loop Hike from the trailhead. Setting out from here, you will be directed west along the Tall Trees Trail. This path will lead you into the magical woodlands, gradually descending via gentle switchbacks. Enjoy the scene of the encompassing redwoods and keep an eye out for wildflowers and mushrooms mixed amongst the undergrowth. Continue trekking, and you will eventually reach a junction. Here, veer left, and you will be diverted onto the Tall Trees Loop Trail. Follow this path along the banks of the Redwood Creek and back into the grove.

Once you complete the circuit, reconnect with the Tall Trees Trail and retrace your footing up the route back to the trailhead.
