Route Description for The Farm Trail
This amazing trek would make an excellent choice for your next adventure in the Redwood National Park, leading you through meadowlands and exposing wonderful vistas of the ocean. Hikers of all skill levels and ages can enjoy this historic walk to the farm buildings. If you have the time, take lunch and have a picnic overlooking the water!
Embark on your journey along The Farm Trail from the trailhead off Coastal Drive. From here, you can choose to complete the loop from either direction, but we chose to venture clockwise, walking near the road. Soon after your departure, the path will curve northwestwardly, away from the road and into the meadowlands. Now trekking north, you will reach The Farms. Explore the cinderblock buildings and enjoy the beautiful ocean views.
When you are through wandering the grounds, continue north before the trail diverts you east. Follow this path back to the trailhead—marking the end of your adventure.
