Route Description for Nymph Lake Trail
Nymph Lake is a picturesque alpine lake ringed with water lilies. The trail is incredibly well-maintained and easy to navigate, so it is perfect for families and beginner hikers alike. Immerse yourself in the diverse wilderness of the Rocky Mountain National Park and trek up to the shimmering lake. Note because the trail is located within the park, visitors are required to purchase a park pass. This hike is also extremely trafficked and parking is limited, so consider taking the free shuttle to avoid the annoyance of trying to find parking.
The Nymph Lake Hike departs from the Bear Lake Trailhead. From the trailhead, take the leftmost Nymph Lake Trail. Travel through the pine forests, interspersed with aspens and enjoy the tree coverage. As you hike, you will ascend the gradual grade to the lake. Soon you ridge the scenic alpine lake. Enjoy the vistas of the snow peaks that sit in the background of the water lily-laden lake.
Revel in the beautiful sights before retracing your steps back to the trailhead. If you are seeking a longer hike, consider trekking a few more steps up to Dream Lake.
