Miracle Mile Trail

The Miracle Mile Trail is a fantastic adventure in Big Bear Lake, California that will see you climb a ski slope for sweeping views of the Southern California landscape. While out hiking the trail, you will work your way uphill through a mixture of clearings and woodland terrain, before eventually arriving at the top of Snow Summit for views overlooking Big Bear Lake. Hikers should take note that this trail is not accessible during the winter months, as the hillside is used as a ski run.

Route Description for Miracle Mile Trail
If you are after a fairly short but steep adventure during the summer months that will offer some wonderful views over Big Bear Lake, but will also give you a solid leg burn, then the Miracle Mile Trail is a great route to explore.
Setting out from the parking lot, you will pass by the Snow Summit Ski Resort and make your way onto the ski run. From here, you will keep to the right and pass through a stretch of forest as you gain elevation along the hillside.
After meandering through the tree cover and open clearings, you will eventually arrive at the top of the hill, where you will enjoy some beautifully scenic views of the surrounding landscape. Once you have taken in the views, you will pass by a few buildings and a small pond, before working your way back downhill to return to the trailhead.
