Setting out from the trailhead on Pines Lane, you will head to the south and follow the path through the tree cover, where you will quickly come to a fork in the path. Heading right here, you will climb slightly uphill through the forest and follow the trail as it loops around to the east.

At this point, you will descend through the tranquil woodland landscape and make your way to the northwest, where you will eventually arrive back at the trailhead where you began your adventure on the Sugarloaf to Sand Canyon Loop Trail.
