Route Description for Bell Rock Pathway to Llama Loop
Bell Rock is one of Sedona’s defining rock formations, and plenty of visitors make the hike to the rock each season. With views of Courthouse Butte and Cathedral Rock, it’s a stunning spot. One of the joys of hiking near Bell Rock is the easy access to other trails. This route adds on the Llama Loop to give you a peek of Gibraltar Rock.
Download a GPS track ahead of time if you’re unfamiliar with this area. There are lots of interconnecting trails and it can be easy to miss a turn.
From the trailhead, go straight on a wide path marked on either side by fencing. Large agave plants and cacti also line your trail. At the next junction, you’ll turn left onto Bell Rock Pathway. Follow this past Baby Bell (a fun scramble if you’re capable) and turn left onto Llama Trail. This will take you past Courthouse Butte before turning north towards Gibraltar Rock. Go left at the junction with Little Horse Trail, which will get you back onto Bell Rock Pathway to return to the trailhead.
