Route Description for Frypan Meadows via Lewis Creek Trail
The sweat-inducing, heart-pumping Frypan Meadows via Lewis Creek Hike makes up for its strenuousness with impeccable scenery. Enjoy incredible views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains as you explore the subalpine forests and montane meadows. Note this route is often complete as an overnight expedition, so if you are one of the intrepid and eager to tackle it in a day, make sure you head out in the early morning. Additionally, as this trail explores the remote regions of the park, it is important to be mindful of wildlife, such as deer, bears, and mountain lions. Dress in layers, and don’t forget that the park charges an entrance fee of $35USD per vehicle or $20USD per person for pedestrians or cyclists.
Setting out from the Lewis Creek Trailhead, the Frypan Meadows via Lewis Creek Hike follows the Lewis Creek Trail north.
