Route Description for Lodgepole and Willow Meadow Hike
This scenic adventure is ideal for those willing to put their navigational skills to the test. This primitive adventure in Topokah Valley boasts an unrivaled experience. Explore the untouched backcountry and admire the diversity of the area’s native flora and fauna. Note the trail climbs all the way up to the meadow, so you'll surely get your heart rate up! Don’t forget to download the trail GPS to easily navigate the path. Note entrance to the park costs $35USD per vehicle or $20USD per person for pedestrians or cyclists.
Setting out from the parking lot, the Lodgepole and Willow Meadow Hike travels across Lodgepole Road and over the Marble Fork Kaweah River. After intersecting with the river, you will find a trailhead signposted for the Silliman Pass South Trail. This route will lead you into the wilderness of mixed conifers and blossoming wildflowers. Mind your footing on the uneven terrain, and the path will ultimately redirect you north.
Beyond this point, you will likely need the trail GPS to navigate the overgrown route. Following the GPS, you will be diverted east into Willow Meadow. Enjoy the tranquility of the unexplored meadow and enjoy the mountain views through the tree breaks. To get back to the trailhead, simply head back the way you came.
