Route Description for Rainforest Trail
Hiking along the Rainforest Trail is a fun and educational experience that will take you through a beautiful stretch of West Coast rainforest along a wooden boardwalk with interpretive signs along the route. Throughout this super scenic hike, you will be able to view the various stages of plant life in this type of ecosystem, from the vegetation on the forest floor to the massive trees that tower proudly overhead.
The easy-to-navigate terrain and interesting information provided along the trail make this an exciting hiking route near Tofino that can be enjoyed by hikers of all skill levels, including families with young children. Make sure to arrive early for this hike as the boardwalks are a bit narrow, and it can be difficult to pass other hikers during peak hours.
Getting to the Rainforest Trail Trailhead
To make your way to the Rainforest Trail from Tofino, drive southeast on Pacific Rim Highway/BC-4 for 23.3 km and make a right turn to enter the parking area.
