Route Description for Prospector’s View Trail
Prospector’s View Trail leads you around Lost Dutchman State Park, an area with interesting mining history and lots of enjoyable trails that show off the unique landscape of the Arizona desert. This hike is fairly easy, but make sure you bring plenty of water regardless. It can get hot out here!
There is a complex network of trails in this area, so we recommend downloading a GPS route if you’re not familiar with the routes here. The upside of all these routes is that it’s easy to lengthen or shorten your hike if you want to.
From the trailhead, take Crosscut Trail, staying straight through the first two junctions and then right, left, and right in quick succession. Go straight through the next junction before the trail splits. You can walk the loop either way as the view is the same regardless. Once you’re done the loop, head back to the trailhead the same way you came out.
