    Hiking to the Mirador Las Torres from the Torres del Paine Welcome Center is arguably the most popular adventure in Chilean Patagonia, as it is filled with incredibly beautiful scenery. While out on the trail, you will climb uphill through the serene Ascencio Valley, before making the final push up to Lago Torres for breathtaking views of the Torres del Paine. If you only have a short time to visit Torres del Paine National Park, then this is the hike you need to complete!

    Route Description for Mirador Las Torres from the Torres del Paine Welcome Center

    Featuring jaw-dropping views of the world famous Torres del Paine, the Mirador Las Torres from the Torres del Paine Welcome Center is the hiking route to complete if you are only visiting Torres del Paine National Park for the day. Navigate rugged terrain and take in the breathtaking mountain views that can be found on this unbeatable hike in Patagonia!

    Setting out from the Torres del Paine Welcome Center, you will follow the path as it leads to the southwest along the road to quickly arrive at a junction. Head left here and cross over the road in order to continue on to the southwest. Follow the trail as it runs parallel to the road, eventually passing by the Hotel Las Torres on your right.

    Continuing along the Las Torres A Chileno Trail, the route will bend to the west and cross over a stream, before arriving at a crossing of the Río Ascencio. After making your way over the coursing river, keep right at the next to junctions in order to continue along the Las Torres A Chileno Trail as it climbs uphill to the northwest.

    Here, you will be making your way through the beautiful landscape of the Ascencio Valley along the banks of the Río Ascencio, eventually descending to the Chileno Camp. Continuing on to the northwest, you will cross over the river several times before arriving at Campamento Torres.

    Keeping left at the fork in the path, you will climb uphill across a rocky moraine in order to reach the shores of Lago Torres. Upon your arrival at the glacier lake, you will be met with incredibly scenic views of the Torres del Paine in front of you. From right to left the imposing peaks are Torres Monzino, Torres Central, and Torres d’Agostini.

    Take your time here to revel in the natural beauty of the landscape, as this tucked away corner of Chile is one of the most sought after trekking destinations in the world! After taking in the views, carefully make your way back downhill across the moraine and retrace your steps along the same route in order to return to your starting point at the Torres del Paine Welcome Center.
