    Route Description for Akamina Lake Hike

    Akamina Lake hike is a 1.0 km out-and-back trail that leaves from Cameron Lake. It’s an ideal trail for those looking for a quick and easy side trip for the family. You’ll be able to escape some of the crowds at Cameron Lake by following the trail to Akamina Lake. Enjoy stunning views at this calm lake before turning back the way you came.

    Getting to the Akamina Lake Hike Trailhead

    From the town of Waterton, take Highway 5 eastbound before turning left onto the Akamina Parkway. Follow the parkway to the end and park at Cameron Lake. You will find a trail kiosk with maps and signage for Akamina Lake.
