Route Description for Round Mountain Hike
Red Mountain from the Nason Ridge Trail is a very quiet hike, so try it out if you want to enjoy some real solitude on your adventures. The hike is difficult, but it’s definitely worth a try in wildflower season.
Begin from the trailhead, making sure to take trail #1583 as there are two that leave from the same parking loop. You’ll have a few flatter steps before beginning a gradual climb up the base of the mountain. There is a 5-way junction about half of the way through the hike where you’ll stay to the far right. Before you set into the final set of switchbacks to the top, look back for views over Lake Wenatchee. From the top, retrace your steps back to the trailhead.
