Arrive in Iquitos
Your transfer will meet you at the airport in Iquitos or at your hotel. You’ll spend the afternoon visiting the Allpahuayo Mishana National Reserve, where your guides will help you spot several species of birds that are only known to live in this unique forest. You might be lucky enough to spot birds including the Ancient Antwren, Mishana Tyrannulet, Allpahuayo Antbird, Northern Chestnut-tailed Antbird, Pompadour Cotinga, and Saffron-crested Tyrant Manakin. After the excitement, its back to the hotel for dinner.

Morning Birdwatching and Boat Ride up the Amazon
This morning on your Amazon expedition you’ll take another bird viewing trip into the Allpahuayo Mishana Reserve. Kep your eyes to the skies to see what species you’ll run into today! In the afternoon you’ll take the four-hour boat ride up the river to the wilderness lodge on the Tahuayo tributary. Relax here for the night, enjoying the hum of the surrounding forest.

Discover the Bird Species in Paraiso
Good morning, jungle! Today, your guides will take you out for a full day of birding on the islands near the entrance of the Tahuayo tributary. During the day you’ll be looking for sandpipers, herons, terns, skimmers, stilts, and plovers. You’ll stay on the river until the evening for a chance to see the nocturnal birds that live on the shoreline.
