Itinerary for E-Mountain Bike Morocco
Arrival in Marrakech
Your adventure begins upon your arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport where your guide will be waiting to greet you. You'll then take private transportation to the hotel in Marrakech and have the afternoon or evening free to explore this vibrant and colourful city's attractions, especially the souqs and palaces.
Kik Plateau and Ride to Imlil
After breakfast, you'll travel by minibus towards the Amizmiz Valley and get ready to start biking. The route starts off fairly flat and rises as you cycle through traditional Berber villages and up to the Kik Plateau. From the top of this point, you get fantastic views of the Atlas Mountains and the crown jewel of Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.
After descending into Asni, you’ll transfer to Imlil and spend a night at a local guesthouse immersed in the Berber culture.
Mountain Ride to Tizi n’Tamaterte
Today's ride begins at the foothills of Mount Toubkal and takes you to the top of the imposing high mountain pass of Tizi n'Tamaterte, where from 2230m you get amazing views of the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas range.
From Wanskra village, follow a dirt track down through the valley and past tiny villages perched on the edge of the deep riverbed. You’ll overnight in Asni at a local guesthouse and enjoy a traditional dinner together.
Adamant Pass to Ourika Valley
After setting out for a brief warm-up on flat terrain, challenge yourself to reach the top of the Tadmamt Pass, which stands at 1800m. It's a long ride but you'll be rewarded with fabulous views of the vast northern plains and the mighty Atlas mountains.
Continue east into the lush Ourika Valley, pack up the bikes, and head back to Marrakech for your last night.
Departure from Marrakech
Your biking journey through the Atlas Mountains officially comes to an end today. After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, a driver will transfer you back to the airport for your outward journey. Have a safe flight and a good trip home!
