Arrival in Ferrol, starting point of the English Way.
Ferrol to Pontedeume
The first stage of this Camino is the longest, so it is possible to divide it in two and stay in Neda if this is too long off the start. We recommend a visit to the port of Ferrol before starting the route, as it is one of the most emblematic places of Galicia. On the other hand, once on the Camino make sure to stop at the Monastery of San Martiño de Neda.
Pontedeume to Betanzos
This is a coastal stretch, with very pleasant views. Before reaching Betanzos, stop at the Church of San Pantaleón de las Viñas, one of the most iconic points of the English Way.
Betanzos to San Paio de Buscás
Leave historic Betanzos behind and walk into the peaceful Galician countryside, following quiet lanes and woodland paths through rolling farmland and small rural villages. Gentle climbs and descents add variety to the day before you reach the tranquil hamlet of San Paio de Buscás.
San Paio de Buscás to Sigüeiro
Walk through the peaceful Galician countryside toward Sigüeiro, following quiet country lanes, forest tracks, and gently rolling farmland dotted with small villages. This tranquil stage offers a pleasant mix of woodland and rural scenery as you continue south along the Camino Inglés.
Press on to Santiago de Compostela
Today you’ll be following a mix of quiet lanes, woodland paths, and increasingly urban stretches as you approach Santiago de Compostela. The excitement builds as the cathedral towers come into view, leading you into the historic old town and finally to the magnificent Praza do Obradoiro.
Santiago to Negreira
The first stage of this trail has little difficulty. On your way to Negreira, you will walk through pine and eucalyptus forests, small villages and Roman bridges.
Negreira to Vilaserío
Leave Negreira behind and continue west along the Camino through peaceful Galician countryside, following quiet lanes, woodland paths, and rolling farmland. The route climbs gradually through small rural villages before reaching Vilaserío, a tranquil stop surrounded by green fields and forested hills.
Vilaserío to Olveiroa
Continue through rural Galicia on a scenic stage of the Camino Finisterre, passing quiet hamlets, farmland, and stretches of forest as the route undulates gently westward. The day finishes in the traditional village of Olveiroa, known for its stone houses, old granaries, and peaceful countryside setting.
Olveiroa to Cee
Walk through quiet countryside and forest tracks as the Camino gradually approaches the Atlantic coast. Enjoy your first sweeping views of the sea before descending toward the coastal town of Cee.
Final Walk to Finisterre
The Camino in this stage takes you along the Atlantic coast while enjoying the high cliffs that give its name to its coast, the wild beaches and the incredible views it offers. What to do when you get to Finisterre? Undoubtedly, visit the Lighthouse, where it is considered the End of the World. Enjoying the sunset with the views it offers is the greatest pleasure of all this Camino!
