Join this guided climbing tour and experience a week of a climbers’ lifestyle in Margalef, Catalonia!
Stay in a climbers’ hostel or campsite and enjoy day after day of fun climbing. Accommodations on this trip are very basic and shared (no private rooms available). The main goal is to integrate you into the local climbing community and so you should be comfortable sharing living space with other climbers for the duration of this tour.
Previous outdoor sport climbing experience is highly recommended min. grade: indoor leading 6a / outdoor leading 5.

Day By Day Itinerary
Welcome! Make your way from the airport to your climbing accommodations and gather for dinner together and get to know each other.
Get an introduction to the local crags and try some warm-up routes. It is also important to review good safety practices and procedures when belaying, top-roping, and leading.
Climbing, climbing, and more climbing! Work on new skills with your coach and gain confidence in your climbing technique. Depending on your abilities and goals, you may work on top-roping, lead climbing, advanced belaying, controlling falls dynamically, redpointing, flash, or onsight methods. The important thing is that everyone is having fun and making progress toward their goals.
Wrap up a great week by finishing the projects you have worked on. Lock in new skills with extra practice and coaching. End the week on a fun note with a farewell dinner and party!
Time to say goodbye! Depart for the airport individually.

Upon arrival, we will take you to the store to shop for breakfast and lunch food for the week. Refrigerators are provided by the campsite, and we will return to the store once more during the week to replenish supplies. Communal Spanish-inspired dinners prepared by a professional chef are offered every night for €15. They include an entree, salad, dessert, and wine. Dietary restrictions and allergies can be accommodated with advanced notice. We may also decide to plan a night out at a restaurant in one of the many nearby towns.

This trip starts and ends at the climbing accommodation in Margalef. Transportation from and to the airport is not included.
Reasonably tight climbing shoes / harness / helmet / belay device / 2 screw gate carabiners / 60cm sling are needed for this tour. We provide most of the gear, but you will need to bring your own climbing shoes and harness. We have belay devices, slings, and helmets, but you might prefer to bring your own. We strongly suggest bringing a down jacket, a hat, a rain jacket, a pair of comfortable approach shoes, a headlamp, a sleeping bag, and a backpack big enough for carrying lunch and gear to the crag.
